Birthday, But

Make It Chic

There’s something undeniably special about your first birthday as a mummy—especially when you can sprinkle a little elegance and a lot of love into the mix. This year, I celebrated in true Luxury Mummy style: with my two boys, a hint of designer indulgence, and a dinner in Mayfair to remember. Proof that motherhood and glamour can absolutely co-exist.

My First Birthday as a Mummy

My First Birthday as a Mummy

Becoming a mum changes everything—including birthdays. The late nights look a little different (more teething, less tequila), but the joy? It’s next level. A level not unlocked until you have a sweet little one of your own. This year felt particularly tender, marking my first birthday as a mummy. I was spoilt (deservedly) and whisked off to Soho Farmhouse for a cosy countryside escape with my husband and our darling West. Fresh air, fireside drinks, wellies and cuddles—heaven.

Now let’s be honest—a Luxury Mummy birthday wouldn’t be complete without a few wrapped-up icons. Fashion has always been my love language, and this year, I leaned into it.

From Prada, a cropped puffer and a sparkly evening clutch. YSL delivered a spring-ready handbag that pairs perfectly with my new Versace heels—sass and sex appeal in one stride. And Givenchy? A sleek pair of trainers, because motherhood demands chic comfort. I felt confident, feminine, and myself.

Sweet Moments With My Boys

The most beautiful part of the day wasn’t what I unwrapped, but who I was with. My husband planned a morning full of love—breakfast in bed (West helped by spilling milk everywhere), a lazy garden walk, and toddler giggles echoing across the lawn.

Then, to my absolute delight, they whisked me away for a surprise overnight at Soho Farmhouse—just the three of us. It was everything: fireside cuddles, long baths, room service in robes, and a rare sense of stillness. I sipped my favourite Whispering Angel rosé, curled up in a cashmere throw, while West played with wooden blocks by the fire. That evening, we devoured the famous Soho House roast chicken—perfectly crispy, comforting, and just what my soul needed.

We finished the day with a homemade cake that was a little wonky and completely perfect. Life’s simplest moments now feel like the most extravagant.

An Evening in Mayfair

For the grand finale of my birthday celebrations, I decided to throw an intimate dinner at COYA in Mayfair. We were in one of their private rooms, which created an intimate and stylish setting perfect for an easy night out. Of course, the time we dinned was 6pm, so that my bestie Westy could join.

The guest list? Just my closest friends. Quality over quantity, always. We sipped chilled wine, shared stories, and laughed until our sides hurt. It was the perfect way to toast to another year of life, love, and motherhood.

But remember, a chic celebration isn’t about how much you spend. It’s about creating moments that make you feel special and surrounded by love. Whether it’s a private dinner at COYA or a picnic in the park, what matters is that you’re doing what makes you happy.
