Model, then designer. It took thirty years and two sons to close the loop.
Chelsea Green grew up in ateliers. Her mother was a model turned couturier — a Benson & Hedges Award winner — and the business of silhouette, fabric and fitting rooms was simply what the house smelled like. Chelsea went on to spend fifteen years in front of the camera herself, on the other side of the same industry, learning what a garment does to a woman when it's cut properly.
She is now designing the clothes.
Auri West
Auri West is Chelsea's first womenswear label — named for her two sons — designed in London and crafted in Dubai. Elegant, silhouette-first eveningwear for women who stopped apologising for wanting to be looked at: corsetry, drape and structure built around the female form, in four collections — The Velvet Edit, The Amazonian Edit, The Elegance Edit and The Bad Girl Edit.
40 is the new 25.
Two considered collections a year rather than constant churn. Eveningwear polish, applied to pieces built for an actual life. It is the most personal thing she has made, and the thing this site now exists to carry.
The Luxury Mummy
Chelsea has been building and writing for audiences online since 2012, most of that time under CSG Lux, rebranded in 2024 as The Luxury Mummy — now read by more than 200,000 subscribers, with over half a million following on Instagram. Fashion, travel, beauty and the business of living well, reported first-hand and never from a press release. Two decades of work has put her alongside Vogue Bridal, Givenchy and Christian Louboutin; Sofitel, Shangri-La and Versace.
Behind the camera
Chelsea is Māori (Ngāti Kahu) and English, and an award-winning filmmaker. In 2016 she won Best New Filmmaker and Best New Actress from the Women of Film and TV Institute for Titiro, a short film about the ancient Māori gods of New Zealand — now in development as a feature, co-written with the writers of Batman.

Beyond the work
For a decade Chelsea has given time and platform to causes for people and animals alike: LightUpForBibas, the Soi Dog Foundation, Street Child UK, Compassionate Paws, the Humane Society, The Innocence Project, Home Leone, and YWAM's work in Ukraine.
She lives between London and the UAE with her husband and their two boys.
