Cannes, Croissants

& Chilled Rosé

Baby in tow. YSL on my arm. Still doing it right.

Cannes with a baby might sound like a compromise—but trust me, it wasn’t. We did it our way: beachside glamour by day, candlelit dinners in our apartment by night, and a daily routine that revolved around flat whites, croissants, and chilled rosé.

Even with a delayed flight out of Gatwick (because of course), we arrived in full control baby toys suctioned to windows, snacks packed with military precision, and zero chaos in sight. Prepared is chic.

Where We Stayed

Where We Stayed Cannes

We chose a luxury three-bedroom apartment just back from the heart of the city—a quiet pocket close enough to stroll everywhere, but private enough for us to unwind. West had space to play, I had space to breathe, and the kitchen was put to good use (even if just for plating takeaway like it was room service at the Ritz).

Our Days in the Riviera

Our Days in the Riviera Cannes

We are creatures of habit, even in The South of France—so every day started with a walk for coffee and croissants, and yes, West is completely obsessed with croissants. He lights up like it’s Christmas with every flaky bite.

We wandered cobbled streets, visited galleries and parks, and let the mornings unfold slowly, with purpose. West squealed with delight at every passing dog or pigeon, waving his little arms like he was holding court on the Croisette. It was pure joy.

In true Luxury Mummy fashion, we also found our essentials—a great gym, the perfect flat white, and an exceptional wine bar. Because a trip isn’t a trip if it doesn’t feel a little like home—just with better shoes and views.

Where We Ate

We kept lunches glam—because Cannes is all about the beach. Our go-to was La Môme Plage: fresh seafood, stunning service, sun overhead and sand underfoot. West napped to the sound of waves while we toasted to still doing it all—just differently now, better.

Evenings? We stayed in—but we made them beautiful. I always set the table. We ordered incredible food, poured chilled rosé, lit candles, and wore proper outfits. No chaos. No loud restaurants. Just soft music, good wine, and a happy baby asleep down the hall.

I packed with intent: linen everything, golden touches, and my trusty YSL canvas tote—because nothing says Cannes chic like effortless luxury. No loud prints, no fuss. Just calm, coastal polish.

Cannes, Croissants & Chilled Rosé

Cannes wasn’t about doing it all. It was about doing what mattered beautifully. Slowing down. Staying stylish. Drinking rosé at 6 pm in a silk top while your child dreams in the next room. That’s not less glam—it’s just a new kind.
