Miami gave me two completely different moods on one trip — the calm, family-friendly luxury of Nobu on Miami Beach, and the buzzing café culture and skyline of Downtown. Here’s everything I loved about both, all in one place.

A Chic Retreat at Nobu Miami
Hey my Lux Lovers! If you're on the hunt for that dreamy mix of kid-friendly luxury and total glam, look no further than the Nobu Miami Hotel. Tucked in the lively scene of Miami Beach, this fab spot serves up top-tier hospitality with a dash of cozy family charm. During my stay in the swanky UMI suite, I loved how everything was set up perfectly for both chilling and keeping the baby happy. From delightful snacks and fabulous drinks at the lobby bar to a chill poolside escape, every moment brought a touch of magic. Plus, with Soho House close by, both parents and the littles can have an amazing time filled with style and ease.
The moment you walk into Nobu, you're wrapped in a cocoon of luxurious calm. It's all about sophistication paired with family-friendly perks, setting the stage for a stay you won't forget. And OMG, the Christmas tree (would you know I’m Christmas mad) and decorations were everything, not to mention those golden elevators!

The Umi Suite
The 725 sq. ft.Umi suite is like a Zen paradise tailored for stylish families. You walk in and bam! There's so much space and it's all laid out so thoughtfully.
With floor-to-ceiling windows lighting up the space, there's no shortage of jaw-dropping views from the balconies—Miami Beach on one side, the cityscape on the other. The living room is all about that family hangout life, complete with a separate loo.
Every detail, from the plush bedding to the high-tech entertainment system, makes you feel right at home. The bathroom's got a peaceful Japanese vibe with a soaking tub that makes me feel like I’m having a spa day. And don't get me started on the huge shower—it made bath time with West a breeze!
Sipping and Snacking at the Lobby Bar
The lobby bar at Nobu isn't just your average quick-drink spot. It's a full-on culinary hangout! The menu's loaded with light bites and fabulous cocktails, ideal for a chill family meal or date night (with a pint-sized plus one).
You cozy up in the lush seats and are instantly charmed by the classy yet cozy vibes. The staff are on point with recommendations to please everyone—even the picky eaters.
Pro tip: Dive into Nobu's must-try dishes served as small plates for sharing. The Black Cod Butter Lettuce Tacos and Rock Shrimp Tempura are my favs here!

Poolside Zen
Families, this one's for you—the pool at Nobu Miami Hotel is a dreamy blend of chill and fun. The expansive deck is perfect for sunbathing even if the adults-only rule means you'll need to seek another spot for the kids.
Tranquility awaits parents in the adult-only areas, while the kiddos can unleash their energy in supervised activity zones and splash adventures tailored for them.
Poolside service is nothing short of perfection, with attentive staff ready to serve up refreshing drinks and tasty snacks. As the sun sets, the pool transforms into an enchanting haven, setting a dreamy mood for evening relaxation.
Breakfast at Ocean Social
Starting your day at Ocean Social with breakfast is pure luxe! The buffet is a treat for the taste buds.
For a healthy start don’t skip the fresh fruit platters and house-made granola. And for those craving something heartier, the French croissants and French toast are to die for. We couldn’t resist having them every single morning. We always added some scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon—and that breakfast was heaven!
Soho House and the Beach Path
Also knowing Soho House is a stone's throw from Nobu brings another layer of fun to your getaway. This members-only club offers top-notch experiences that fit like a glove with your Nobu stay.
While it's exclusive, Nobu guests sometimes get the scoop on its fab happenings. With epic dining and unique cultural events, there's never a dull moment nearby.
Soho House's beachfront spot offers a different take on Miami's coast, giving you another way to soak in the city's beach vibes and lively spirit.
We fell in love with strolling up and down the beach path. It's that perfect mix of peace and nature. Imagine the soothing sound of waves kissing the shore and that warm Miami breeze—absolute bliss.
The views were like eye candy with the ocean and stunning landscapes all around. Plus, it's such a fab way to chill out and connect with your fam. Our Westy boy had a blast collecting seashells while we just soaked in the beauty of those golden sands and the vibrant horizon. During those walks, we really felt the Miami Beach magic—such a perfect blend of elegance and the free-spirited sea vibe. And of course everyone was so darn goodlooking!

Downtown: Café Culture and Concrete Jungles
Miami downtown is a vibrant blend of café culture and urban allure that captured my heart from the moment I arrived. Picture this: strolling through bustling streets, sipping on a perfectly crafted latte from a local gem, while the stunning Miami architecture provides a breathtaking backdrop. Unlike the dense concrete jungles of New York, Miami's downtown offers a unique twist with the serene Miami river weaving through the cityscape, adding a touch of tranquility to the urban hustle. From chic rooftop bars with panoramic views to cozy local restaurants in Miami that serve as perfect hideaways, there's a glamorous yet homely vibe that makes every moment feel special.
The Coffee Stops
Miami's downtown area is a captivating blend of urban sophistication and laid-back charm. Miami's café culture is a delightful fusion of Latin American influences and modern coffee trends. The city's streets are dotted with charming cafés, each offering a unique experience.
Panther Coffee, a local fav, exemplifies Miami's dedication to quality brews. Their small-batch roasted beans and expert baristas create the perfect cup every time.
For those seeking a Cuban-inspired experience, Versailles Restaurant is a must-visit. Their café con leche and pastelitos are legendary among locals and tourists alike.
Don't miss the trendy ALL DAY, where innovative coffee creations meet Instagram-worthy aesthetics. It's the perfect spot for both coffee aficionados and social media enthusiasts.
Architecture Worth the Walk
Miami's architecture is a visual feast, blending Art Deco, Mediterranean Revival, and ultra-modern designs. This eclectic mix creates a unique cityscape that's unmistakably Miami.
The Freedom Tower, often called the "Ellis Island of the South," stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural beauty. Its Mediterranean Revival style is a nod to Miami's Spanish roots.
For a taste of Miami's modern architecture, look no further than the Pérez Art Museum Miami. This stunning building, designed by Herzog & de Meuron, seamlessly integrates with its waterfront setting.
The Brickell City Centre (which was my absolute fav, we honestly went here every single day) showcases Miami's commitment to innovative urban design. Its Climate Ribbon™, an architectural feature that provides natural cooling, is a marvel of sustainable design.

Rooftops and Skyline Views
Miami's skyline is a breathtaking sight, especially when viewed from one of the city's many rooftop bars or waterfront locations.
Sugar, perched atop the EAST Miami hotel, offers panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the city. It's the perfect spot to sip a cocktail and watch the sunset paint the sky in vibrant hues.
For a more laid-back vibe, head to The Wharf Miami. This open-air venue along the Miami River combines stunning city views with a relaxed, riverside atmosphere.
Don't miss the opportunity to see Miami from the water. A cruise on Biscayne Bay offers unparalleled views of the city's skyline and coastal mansions.

Along the Miami River
The Miami River provides a serene contrast to the bustling city streets, offering moments of tranquility amidst urban life.
Take a stroll along the Miami Riverwalk to experience the river's calming presence. The path is dotted with public art installations and offers stunning views of the city skyline.
For a unique dining experience, visit one of the many restaurants along the river. Seaspice offers waterfront dining with a glamorous twist, while Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market provides a more casual, local vibe.
Consider taking a river cruise to fully appreciate the Miami River's beauty. These tours offer insights into the city's history and provide a different perspective on Miami's architecture.
Where to Eat Downtown
Downtown Miami's dining scene is as vibrant and diverse as the city itself, offering everything from casual eateries to fine dining experiences.
Zuma, located in the Epic Hotel, offers a sophisticated take on Japanese izakaya dining. Its riverside location and sleek design make it a favorite among Miami's fashionable set.
For a more casual option, try Sparky's Roadside Barbecue. This local joint serves up authentic Southern BBQ in the heart of downtown.
Don't overlook Fooq's, a charming bistro that feels like dining in someone's home. Their eclectic menu draws inspiration from Persian, French, and Italian cuisines.
