Sunshine, Sushi &

the Suite Life

A Miami moment with my little man in tow.

We landed in Miami for a little sun, a little chaos, and a lot of luxury—and honestly, it delivered all three. It was one of those trips that reminded me motherhood doesn’t cancel glamour. It just shifts it. Slightly earlier dinners. Slightly louder pool days. But still…fabulous.

And truthfully, I’ve always preferred it that way. I’m a lady who lunches. I need my beauty sleep. I’ve always loved being in bed by 9pm. I’m horrified when someone invites me to a dinner starting at 8pm—or worse, 7:30. I’m a 5:30pm for bubbles, dinner seated at 6 sort of girl. And yes, I will be in silk pyjamas by 9 snoozing.

Where We Stayed

We stayed at Nobu Hotel in the UMU Suite, which was absolutely stunning. Huge, airy, with a separate living room, two bathrooms, and the kind of wraparound balcony that makes you want to live in a robe with room service on repeat.

One side overlooked the ocean, the other the city skyline—it was the kind of view you never really stop looking at. Light poured in. West had room to run. And I had room to breathe.

The location was perfection—steps from the sand, ideal for long morning walks and mid-afternoon iced coffees. But the pool situation was a miss—the high rise pool with a view of the ocean was off-limits for guests with children. Which, I’m sorry, is a choice, do better Nobu.

The Food (Because Obviously)

Breakfast at Nobu? To die for.

Think crispy bacon, perfect French toast, fresh berries, cloud-like pancakes, and eggs done exactly how they should be. It was the kind of breakfast that makes you feel like you’re on holiday—because you are—and I looked forward to it every morning.

We had lunch at Soho House, which felt like a bit of a letdown. The vibe was there, but the food didn’t deliver. We moved on quickly.

Luckily, the Nobu restaurant never fails. Crisp linen, perfect lighting, and that sushi—always immaculate. West had his usual snacks and sat happily while I enjoyed sashimi, rosé, and a peaceful moment of togetherness. Everything I ever wanted was right there at the table.

Miami, Baby Style

We flew Virgin Upper Class both ways—which, thankfully, made the journey feel like part of the holiday. West was in top form: charming, cheeky, and stole a man’s banana mid-flight and ran off with it down the aisle. The man was lovely about it. Honestly, what can you do?

In Miami, West was thriving—running around in a nappy and a hat, living his best tropical toddler life. And shockingly, he kept the hat on. Longer than five minutes, even.

He played, he danced, he squealed at birds and palm trees and turned the hotel suite into his private runway. There were moments of chaos, yes, but also pure, sun-drenched joy.

And in true West fashion, he also managed to introduce us to a wonderful couple—just by marching over and charming them. We ended up spending time together, swapping stories, and making a new connection we never would’ve found without him. A little reminder that magic often begins when you’re not trying too hard.

The Real Luxury

The Real Luxury

What I loved most? Dancing on the balcony with West and my hubby—barefoot, golden light pouring in, music playing softly from my phone. Just the three of us, wrapped in warmth and sunshine, swaying between sky and sea.

And when the music stopped and West went down for the night, we stayed in—dessert, rosé, and the sound of waves beyond the glass.

It wasn’t a picture-perfect trip—but it was real, golden, and full of moments I’ll remember forever.
