The Luxury Mummy
Chelsea Green with Mark, Weston and Aurelius

A year of new beginnings, new adventures and another little miracle.

Well, what a year 2025 has been!

Every year I like to take some time to reflect on everything that’s happened. The good, the bad, the lessons learned and the things I’m grateful for. I think it’s important to look back before moving forward, to appreciate how far you’ve come and to recognise the things you might want to do differently.

And goodness, 2025 has given me plenty to reflect on!

This year we welcomed our second beautiful son, Aurelius, into the world, made the decision to move our family to Dubai and began preparing for an entirely new chapter of our lives.

Two enormous life changes in one year. Because apparently having another baby wasn’t quite enough excitement for us!

But looking back, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And Then There Were Four

On the 11th of November 2025, our beautiful second son, Aurelius, was born.

Our darling Auri.

Another little boy, another incredible blessing and another person to love more than I ever thought possible.

When Weston was born in February 2024, I remember thinking that my heart couldn’t possibly hold any more love. And then along came Aurelius, and somehow it did.

It’s extraordinary how that happens.

Suddenly, we were a family of four.

Two boys, just twenty-one months apart, and an entirely new level of chaos in our household!

Motherhood the second time around has been quite different. With your first baby, everything is new. You spend hours researching absolutely everything, worrying about things you never even knew existed and trying to figure out whether you’re doing it all correctly.

With your second, you’re a little more experienced, although you’re also trying to manage a toddler who has absolutely no intention of slowing down just because there’s a newborn in the house!

It’s been beautiful, exhausting and occasionally completely ridiculous.

But watching our family grow has been the greatest joy.

I often think about the relationship Weston and Aurelius will have as they get older. I hope they’ll be the very best of friends. That they’ll look after one another, get into a little mischief together and always know they have someone in their corner.

I pray that we raise two kind, confident, compassionate young men who understand the importance of family, faith and treating people well.

And I hope that one day, when they’re grown, they’ll look back on their childhood and remember a home filled with love, laughter and wonderful memories.

That’s what matters most to me.

A New Chapter in Dubai

Another enormous decision we made in 2025 was to move our family to Dubai.

I’ve always loved travelling and experiencing different cultures, but there’s something quite different about deciding to pack up your life and begin again in another country.

Especially with two very young children!

On our way — Auri’s first flight to our new home

For us, Dubai represents an exciting new chapter. A different lifestyle, new opportunities, sunshine, adventure and the chance to build something wonderful for our family.

I’ve always believed that life is far too short to remain somewhere simply because it’s familiar.

Sometimes you have to take a chance, make a big decision and trust that things will work out.

Of course, moving countries isn’t quite as glamorous as it sounds.

There are endless things to organise, decisions to make and the slightly overwhelming realisation that you’re essentially starting again in so many ways.

But I find that exciting.

I’ve always loved change. I love the possibility of something new, the feeling that another adventure is just around the corner.

And with our two little boys, I think this next chapter will be particularly special.

I want them to grow up experiencing the world. To travel, meet people from different backgrounds, understand different cultures and appreciate how fortunate they are.

I want them to have wonderful opportunities, but I also want them to remain grounded.

To understand that kindness, humility and generosity are far more important than material possessions.

Dubai may be known for its luxury, beautiful homes and extraordinary lifestyle, but for me, the real luxury is having the freedom to create a happy life with the people I love.

And perhaps a little sunshine doesn’t hurt either!

Marriage, Motherhood and Finding Balance

One thing I’ve learned over the last two years is that marriage and motherhood require an enormous amount of patience, understanding and effort.

I don’t think people talk enough about how much having children changes a relationship.

Before children, you have the luxury of making spontaneous plans, going away for weekends, enjoying long dinners and spending time together without constantly thinking about someone else’s needs.

Then suddenly, your entire world revolves around two tiny people.

The four of us — the whole point of all of it

And while I wouldn’t change that for anything, I do think it’s important to remember that you’re still husband and wife, not simply mummy and daddy.

Relationships need nurturing.

I believe a happy marriage should be built on friendship, mutual respect, kindness and the ability to support each other through life’s different seasons.

And there will always be different seasons.

Some are easier than others.

I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that you cannot control everything, particularly other people’s behaviour, but you can control how you respond and what you choose to accept in your life.

Going into 2026, I want to be more intentional about creating a peaceful, happy home.

I want our children to grow up surrounded by love and laughter, and I want Mark and me to continue making time for our relationship as well as our family.

Because at the end of the day, the relationship we have with each other sets an example for the relationships our children will have in the future.

And that’s something worth investing in.

My Career and Remembering Who I Am

My career has always been incredibly important to me.

I’m a creative. I love fashion, modelling, filmmaking, storytelling and building things from an idea into something real.

I love working, and I’ve never been particularly good at doing nothing.

But over the last two years, my priorities have naturally shifted.

Pregnancy, childbirth and raising two babies have taken up an enormous amount of my time and energy.

And rightly so.

These are moments I’ll never get back.

But I’ve also realised how important it is for women not to lose themselves entirely in motherhood.

You can absolutely adore your children and still want to achieve extraordinary things professionally.

You can love being at home with your babies and still want to get dressed up, attend events, build businesses and pursue your passions.

I certainly do!

I want my boys to grow up seeing their mother work hard and follow her dreams.

I want them to understand that success requires determination, discipline and the courage to take risks.

And I want them to know that being a mother doesn’t mean a woman has to stop being ambitious.

If anything, becoming a mother has made me more determined.

I’m going into 2026 with so many ideas and ambitions for my career.

I want to continue developing Luxury Mummy, return to more creative work and explore new opportunities in fashion, film and media.

I feel as though I’m entering another exciting chapter professionally, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me.

After all, I’ve spent the last two years creating two rather wonderful little humans. I think I’m allowed to start creating a few other things again!

Relationships and Protecting Your Peace

I’ve written about relationships before, and I still believe they’re one of the most important things in our lives.

The people we surround ourselves with have an enormous influence on our happiness, our energy and the way we see the world.

But becoming a mother has made me much more selective about where I invest my time.

I’ve always loved bringing people together. I love hosting parties, entertaining friends, celebrating birthdays and making people feel special.

It’s something that genuinely makes me happy.

But I’ve also learned that not everyone deserves the same level of access to your life.

Some friendships are wonderful, supportive and reciprocal.

Others can become exhausting.

And when you have a husband, two young children, a career and a household to manage, you quickly realise how precious your time actually is.

I don’t want to spend it on unnecessary drama, negativity or people who constantly take without giving anything in return.

I want genuine friendships.

People who celebrate each other’s successes, support one another through difficult times and genuinely want the best for each other.

I’ve also learned that you don’t need to explain every decision you make.

Sometimes it’s perfectly acceptable to quietly move forward and leave certain things behind.

Not everyone can go where you’re going.

And that’s okay.

Faith, Gratitude and God’s Timing

My relationship with Jesus continues to be one of the most important parts of my life.

I’ve always believed in the power of prayer and the importance of keeping my spirit aligned with God.

But motherhood has strengthened my faith in ways I never expected.

When I look at Weston and Aurelius, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

Two healthy, beautiful little boys.

What an extraordinary blessing.

I pray for them every day. For their health, happiness, protection and future.

I pray for my husband, our marriage and the life we’re building together.

I pray for wisdom in the decisions we make and for the ability to recognise the opportunities God places in front of us.

And I pray for the people who aren’t as fortunate.

The children without loving homes, the families struggling to survive and the people facing challenges we may never fully understand.

I’ve always believed that giving back is one of the most important things we can do.

Success and financial security are wonderful, but they mean very little if we forget to help others along the way.

I want my children to grow up understanding that.

I want them to be generous with their time, compassionate towards others and grateful for the opportunities they’ve been given.

And I want them to know that no matter what happens in life, they can always turn to God.

Looking Towards 2026

As I reflect on 2025, I realise just how much has changed in such a short space of time.

At the beginning of 2024, I hadn’t yet experienced motherhood.

Now, as 2025 comes to an end, I’m a mother of two, preparing to begin a new life with my family in Dubai.

It’s quite incredible when you think about it.

Life has a funny way of taking you in directions you never anticipated.

Sometimes the things we spend years planning don’t happen quite as we imagined, while the most wonderful blessings arrive when we least expect them.

I’ve learned to trust that a little more.

For 2026, my goals are simple, although knowing me, the list will probably become rather ambitious!

I want a happy, healthy family.

A strong and loving marriage.

To watch my boys grow and experience all their wonderful little milestones.

To make beautiful memories in our new home in Dubai.

To travel, entertain, create and spend time with people I love.

I want to continue growing professionally and finally bring some of the creative ideas I’ve been sitting on to life.

I want to be healthier, more patient, more present and more conscious of how I spend my time.

And above all, I want to continue building a life that feels meaningful.

Not simply one that looks beautiful from the outside.

Because I think that’s something we can all get caught up in.

The beautiful homes, the holidays, the clothes, the restaurants and everything else that comes with a certain lifestyle.

I love all of those things, and I’m certainly not going to pretend otherwise!

But none of them compare to the feeling of holding your newborn baby, hearing your toddler laugh or sitting around the dinner table with the people you love.

That’s real luxury.

And perhaps that’s something becoming a mother has taught me more than anything else.

2024 was the year I became a mother.

2025 was the year our family grew, and we decided to begin a new adventure in Dubai.

And 2026?

Well, I have a feeling it’s going to be rather exciting.

I’m entering this next chapter with faith, gratitude, ambition and two beautiful little boys who have given my life more purpose than I could ever have imagined.

Here’s to new beginnings, wonderful opportunities, good health, happiness, success and abundance.

And to remembering that sometimes the most extraordinary life is the one unfolding right in front of you.
