London Fashion Week SS26

Chelsea Green

Hey Luxury Lovers! London Fashion Week SS26 (18–22 September 2025) was all about love, memory and a little bit of magic. Nanushka made its London debut, Ahluwalia wrote a love letter, Patrick McDowell paid tribute to his grandmother and Susan Fang took us to the year 5202. Here are the four shows I haven’t stopped thinking about.

Nanushka

The Hungarian label marked its twentieth anniversary with its very first London show, in a South Kensington townhouse. The collection, called The Weave, was inspired by the Cuban furniture designer Clara Porset.

Expect elegantly clashing prints, textures you want to reach out and touch, sharp tailoring and funnel-neck bomber jackets. Easy, grown-up and very covetable.

Ahluwalia

Priya Ahluwalia’s Affinity, shown in the atrium of the NoMad Hotel, was all about love. She drew on the way romance is told in Bollywood films, Shakespeare and Motown ballads, alongside Indian miniature paintings and Oshun, the Yoruba goddess of love.

Sharp tailored suits swung with long ruby-red fringe, gowns were twisted and knotted, and fluid satin dresses sat beside structured denim. The palette was jewel-toned — scarlet, ruby and sapphire — softened with pinks, baby blues and earthy browns.

Patrick McDowell

Fresh from winning the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design, Patrick McDowell showed in Control Room A at Battersea Power Station, and it was one of the most emotional shows of the week.

The collection was a tribute to his Lancashire-born grandmother, told through rose motifs, vintage silhouettes, a recording of her voice and show notes designed like her old passport. I may have needed a tissue.

Susan Fang

Susan Fang took over the Barbican Conservatory and transported us to the year 5202. It was dreamy, surreal and completely her own world.

Laser-cut flower petals, bubble beads and bridal looks covered in hundreds of tiny mushrooms. Fairytale fashion at its most inventive.

SS26 reminded me why I love London: it’s the city where fashion still has a heart. Remember, style is your superpower. And darling, you wear it so well.

Until next season,
