Hey Luxury Lovers! London Fashion Week SS27 (September 2026) was one for the history books. McQueen came home after twenty-five years in Paris, Christopher Kane made his debut at Mulberry, Petra Fagerström gave us glamour on the edge and Bora Aksu took us to church. Here are the four shows everyone is talking about, and what we’ll all be wearing next summer.
McQueen
The biggest moment of the week: McQueen returned to London, with Seán McGirr presenting his first London show as creative director in the Undercroft of Lincoln’s Inn Chapel. He called it a celebration of the city, and you could feel the tension between London’s historic architecture, its tailoring traditions and its underground culture.
Sculptural angel-wing shapes met strict tailoring, including three bespoke menswear pieces made with Huntsman on Savile Row. Acid floral prints on organza, smoked tulle, nocturnal jacquards and a recycled silver body harness by Shaun Leane completed the picture, with music by A.G. Cook and the choir Shard Voices. Chills, darling.
Mulberry
Christopher Kane is back, and at Mulberry. His debut, designed with his sister Tammy, played with the contrasts of British life: establishment and subculture, precious and practical, countryside and city. Rather than logos, he spoke the house language through design.

A white leather dress had horizontal tiers that mimicked the flaps of the Bayswater bag, and a long greige raincoat was lined in the brown check from founder Roger Saul’s original 1980s design. The accessories are the ones to watch: the curved Chop shoulder bag, axe-shaped mirrored heels and belts with the Postman’s Lock. It all arrives in January 2027.
Petra Fagerström
Petra Fagerström’s inspiration was irresistible: Glamorous Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Same, darling.

Leather jackets and softly pleated gowns met trompe l’oeil prints with a lattice effect that played tricks on the eye. Polished on the surface, a little unhinged underneath — my favourite kind of woman.
Bora Aksu
Bora Aksu showed in a church, which felt only right for a collection this romantic. It was all crinoline and lace, with the boning left visible, in a soft vanilla palette that felt almost bridal.

Delicate, a little undone and completely dreamy. If you have a summer wedding coming up, take notes.
SS27 has me counting down to summer already. London is back, and it’s never looked better. Remember, style is your superpower. And darling, you wear it so well.
Until next season,
